What’s your favorite quick, easy, and healthy recipe?
Presented by Intel, Sponsors of Tomorrow.
No idea. I do know what my favorite slowish, messy, and ridiculously deliciously unhealthy recipe is though:
Muddy Buddies. (also known as "Puppy Chow" I believe.)
Something got me thinking about Muddy Buddies the other day and I have been craving them ever since. Making them is a bitch with melting all the chocolate and the peanut butter and then you end up with powdered sugar EVERYWHERE, but it's SO WORTH IT. oh man. Totally adding that to my "Shit To Do When I Get Home" list.
What's your fantasy "geek" tech accessory?

A thought-controlled ear implant that plays music when you think about it. Like having a song in your head but have it actually playing into your ear, and being able to control it via thought. So if you're walking down the street and suddenly are reminded of, say, Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" and think it would be a great song to strut down Main Street to, you just think it and it plays. Someone starts talking to you and you can automatically lower the volume, or pause it completely, without actually doing anything.
It would be made even more awesome if it would sense your mood and could tell just exactly what song would be appropriate for you at that moment, including music that you have never heard before.
What's the biggest disappointment you've suffered?
This is probably lame but it was recent and is what came to mind first: being duped by fake people on Twitter. I was following two people who I thought were actors from a show I watch (Skins), only to find a few days later that they were fakes. The whole fandom was in an uproar about it because other people from the show had fallen for it and the Twitter accounts were even featured in a weekly "Twitter Watch"-type article on a rather prominent website. So, yeah, I was upset and disappointed. I think I was actually more upset because whoever was behind the accounts (not sure if they were two people or the same) was a pretty funny lady/dude and I @ replied both of them at least once.
What are you doing to save money during this economic downslide?
Submitted by Jenn.
Well, let's see. In the past few weeks I have bought:
Graphic novels from Amazon: $40
Fallout 3: $60
Offensive shirts from Tshirthell: $60
Tempurpedic pillow: $50 (yay discount!)
Rock Band 2: $200
Xbox 360 controller rechargable battery pack thing: $20
So, as you can see, I'm doing a whole lot of nothing to save money. I have about $200 left in my bank account and hopefully I can make it til May, when I can actually start working again, without blowing it all. Financial irresponsibility yay!
What are you most looking forward to this weekend?
Sleep.
When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?
Submitted by Maraschino.
The other night after dinner, I got out my old Game Boy Color and Game Boy Camera and got a major laugh out of a lot of the pictures. Most were of our dogs, but there were some hilarious ones my sister and I had taken of each other. One is of my sister making a weird face with "OW, MY THIGHS" on it. Then there's one of my sister with the caption "I'M A BIG BITCH" and some other less-appropriate (and, consequently, funnier) ones. I actually did start crying I was laughing so hard when I found these, mainly because I remembered taking the pictures way back in the day. Ah, good times.
When you travel, do you use a guidebook so that you're well prepared, or do you go without much prior knowledge so that you're surprised?
Submitted by Jack Yan.
Usually when I traveled around Europe when I was living in Barcelona (in other words: when I was on my own and didn't have my parents running the show) I'd just pick up a small guidebook with good maps and some info on major things in that city. The maps were actually the main reason. I never really planned anything around what a guidebook said, usually between myself and whoever I was traveling with we already had a good idea of what we wanted to do, and we'd just spend the rest of the time wandering around. We always found some good places and met some interesting people just by wandering around and seeing what we see...I'd like to think that's the best and least-touristy way to travel, I think you get more of a feel for the actual city instead of the tourist version of the city.
Is there anything you've done that you wish you'd apologized for, but didn't?
Being a bitch to my parents when I was in high school going through a rather rough time (you know how high school is....add depression and sexuality issues to the mix and it's even better!) I'd try to shut people out, then I'd get reprimanded for being moody and quiet, which would cause me to lash out even more....Typical teenage angst, y'know. So...sorry, Mom and Dad!
What's your morning beverage of choice? Coffee, tea, juice? Homemade or store-bought?
Usually I brew up two cups of Steaming Bean Coffee in the morning, but if I don't have any then I have tea. I've become quite a tea fiend, I drink several cups of it a day and have an entire drawer in my kitchen devoted to various boxes of tea. I'm drinking green tea right now, actually. Delicious! I think I'm addicted to caffeine now though, which isn't so good...meh.
Here's one for the ladies: What's in your handbag right now?
Submitted by Kadeeae.
lol handbags, like I use one of those. I used to have a purse and just had the usual phone, wallet, keys, kleenexes, chapstick, drugs etc...now I just put whatever I need in my pockets. Though I need a new wallet, the one I have used to be all sparkly and girly but the sparkles kind of wore off so now it's just dull and fugly (but still a bit too girly so I need to get rid of it).
